Job Description

The Site Engineer for Interior Designing will be responsible for managing and executing interior design projects at the construction site. They will ensure that the design vision is translated into physical form, maintaining high-quality standards while adhering to timelines and budgets. The role requires a combination of technical knowledge, project management skills, and an eye for design detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Execution & Supervision :

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations at the project site, ensuring that interior design works are executed according to the approved plans and specifications. Ensure that designs are adhered to and resolve any design discrepancies or issues as they arise.

• Coordination with Design Team :

Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and project managers to ensure the design intent is maintained throughout construction. Provide feedback and propose solutions for design challenges during the construction process.

• Quality Control & Compliance :

Inspect materials, finishes, and workmanship for compliance with the project specifications and quality standards. Ensure that all works conform to safety, health, and environmental regulations, and are completed to the highest standard of craftsmanship.

• Subcontractor Management :

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and on-site personnel involved in the execution of interior works (e.g., carpenters, painters, electricians, etc.). Ensure that all subcontracted work is completed in a timely manner, meeting the quality standards set forth.

• Budget & Schedule Management :

Monitor project progress against the established timeline and budget. Assist in cost control by reviewing project expenses, proposing cost-effective solutions, and managing resource allocation effectively.

• Material Management :

Oversee procurement, delivery, and storage of materials for the interior works. Ensure that materials are on-site as per the schedule and meet the design specifications.

• Site Safety Management :

Ensure a safe working environment on-site by enforcing health and safety protocols. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

• Client Liaison :

Act as a point of contact between clients and the project team. Address client concerns and provide updates on project progress. Ensure that client specifications and preferences are implemented as per design.

• Reporting :

Provide regular progress reports to the project manager, detailing work completed, any issues or delays, and forecasted completion dates.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design. A diploma or certification in interior design is a plus.
• Experience :
• 2-5 years of experience in interior design project execution or site engineering, with a strong understanding of interior finishes, materials, and construction processes.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other design software.
• Knowledge of interior design principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Project Management :
• Strong ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating teams and working with subcontractors.
• Attention to Detail :
• A keen eye for design and finishing details. Ability to understand and execute the design intent while maintaining quality standards.
• Communication Skills :
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Problem-Solving :
• Ability to identify issues on-site and provide practical solutions that align with the project goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
