Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shoe Cobbler and Master Paint Restorer to join our team. This role requires a true artisan with a deep understanding of leather, textiles, and exotic materials, combined with an expert knowledge of paint restoration techniques. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Shoe Repair and Restoration:

Perform high-quality repairs on luxury and high-end footwear, including but not limited to resoling, re-stitching, re-heeled, and replacing zippers. Also high quality and premium cleaning finish

Paint Restoration:

Restore and recolour leather and other materials with precision, ensuring colour accuracy and maintaining the integrity of the original design.

Leather Care:

Clean, condition, and polish shoes using appropriate techniques and products to preserve the material and appearance.

Customisation:

Offer bespoke services such as colour changes, custom painting, and unique design enhancements based on client requests.

Material Expertise:

Work with a variety of materials, including leather, suede, nubuck, and exotic skins, ensuring all repairs and restorations are carried out with the appropriate techniques.

Quality Control:

Inspect all repaired and restored items to ensure they meet The Shoe Doctor DXB's rigorous quality standards.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional service to clients, advising on care and maintenance of their footwear and ensuring their expectations are exceeded.

Inventory Management:

Maintain an organised workspace, manage supplies and materials, and ensure all tools are in optimal condition.

Training and Development:

Stay updated with the latest techniques and trends in shoe restoration and participate in ongoing training to continually enhance your skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a shoe cobbler with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on luxury and high-end footwear. Expertise in leather and textile repair, paint restoration, and colour matching. Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards. Strong understanding of various shoe construction methods and materials. Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
