Job Description

We are looking for a Shipyard General Manager with 10-15 years of experience in shipyard management, with a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational plans and budgets for the shipyard.
• Capture market intelligence, provide key inputs for tenders and pricing.
• Supervise the production process to ensure efficient and high-quality output.
• Monitor and manage the shipyard's inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement programs.
• Manage the shipyard's financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost management.
• Hire, train, and supervise personnel, ensuring that they meet all relevant qualifications and requirements.
• Oversee the scheduling of production and maintenance activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other business partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in shipyard management, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong knowledge of shipyard operations, including production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and implement operational plans and budgets.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
• Proficient in the use of computer systems and software, including ERP and project management tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
