About the role
About the role
- 10 years of managing transportation logistics- import into UAE and exports to ROW: Supermarket items, food items.
- 8+ years of directly managing food/non-food imports from EU to UAE, exports to MENA from UAE
- Must have verse experience with local regulations for food imports into UAE, exports into MENA
- Must have verse with customs clearance practices for food imports, Dubai free zone regulations.
- Able to liaise with forwarders and evaluate freight costs, manage international freight across all modes of transport.
- Able to directly manage a team of 5 FTEs and above.
- Attention to details and good understanding of processes.
- Experience in EXCEL skills, knowledge of MS Office, Power BI.
- Potential candidates can be from the following backgrounds-
- Logistics executive/supply chain executive/supervisor for leading supermarkets chains, food chains.
- Operations executive/supervisor of freight forwarders deployed in their food and beverage verticals.
- High School/ Diploma
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain & Warehouse operation
- A minimum 8 years of experience in the same capacity as supervisor
