:Purpose of the role:Prepares all main ingredients (meat/ chicken) and other food items for cooking and marinating, seasoning breading, sauteing and pro-portioning in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up the station completely with the appropriate utensils and equipment, as per company guidelines
Prepare and serve high quality shawarma following approved standard recipe and presentation
Maintain the sanitation of workstation assigned at all times
Work with Shawarma chef & Restaurant Manager for the list of all the daily preparations, kitchen team priority, special tasks, etc.
Ensure that shawarma portion and temperature are as of high-quality standard
Monitor food stock on assigned station including the freshness of food and discard out-of-date item
Ensure food safety and hygiene
Support with other cooking activities if required by the business. - wrapping, grills, oven cooking etc as required
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Shawarma cutting on a Skewer with a reputed shawarma brand
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
Ability to read and speak in English (Basic)
Willingness to work extra hours
Must be able to follow printed recipes and plate specifications as per company standard
