Operate a cash register, maintain clean and orderly checkout areas whilst serving customers with great Customer Service skills. Follow SOPs including counting and recording the float before trading begins and upon close of trading in order to reduce lossesWhat you will doCommercial:
Contribute to the IFB Activities in the Store Commercial Calendar.
Ensure all IFB articles are merchandised and presented according to IKEA standards and is properly labelled and priced.
Understand and use different selling tools to boost the average transaction and items/ transaction thereby contributing to sales.
Compute and record transactions and ensuring 100% accuracy for all register transactions.
Ensure safe cash handling and accurately process sales using cash registers, scanners or the available tools.
Ensure to process customer's payments quick and accurate. Follow the SOP pertaining to cash handling.
Follow the SOP rules and guidelines.
Count and record the float before trading begins and upon close of trading.
Operational
Ensure that IFB units are ready before the store opens.
Participate in the monthly stock take and facilitate inventory control of all IFB articles around IKEA FOOD and the IKEA store.
Ensure that guidelines on IFB operation and commercial growth review is adhered to, and to ensure that all operational checklists is done as scheduled and required action plan is implemented and followed-up in a timely manner.
Provide a positive shopping experience through a high level of customer service standard and cleanliness within the area.
Ensure a high level of personal hygiene in compliance with the personal hygiene guidelines.
Always look at our store through the eyes of our customers. Have a daily dialogue with the guests to get continuous feedback about their experiences and to learn more about their needs and wants, and share the FAQ with the line manager.
Work efficiently and effectively in order to minimize queues.
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
Ensure and maintain adequate stock of printed stationary & tools at required stock level.
In case of any incidents observed, report to the leader or duty manager and comply with the guidance provided.
Report on the incidents/ complaints concerning national and international range to the line manager.
Actively work with the Chef to increase his knowledge and expertise in all areas of production
Perform other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
Training & Developing People (People)
Lead by example and a good ambassador for the IKEA store in all contact with our guests, and give them a good reason to return.
Attend and participates in training sessions as required
Ensure to be well updated on current and upcoming national legislation on food safety.
Meet and serve IKEA guests with a smile and showing empathy and care. Show willingness to listen and support them with an attitude based on the IKEA values.

Previous service environment experience, ideally sales or hospitality - Minimum of 2 years.
Must have an interest and knowledge of retail, culinary or food service industry

Must have the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and constantly changing retail environment
Must have multitasking capabilities
Must be fluent in English and local language.
Must have awareness on food safety - basic
