Provides Psychological treatment of children, adolescents, adults and their families with a wide variety of mental health problems. Manages, monitors and reviews a caseload through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic interventions. Conducts both one-to-one and group counselling services to assist patients requiring therapeutic interventions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensures the range and level of interventions, treatments and activities complies with relevant regulations
2. Advises and informs guardians, relatives, and significant others of patients' conditions and treatment;
3. Deliver psychotherapeutic interventions in various modalities - CBT, CFT, EMDR, Trauma focused CBT, DBT
4. Organizes, provides and evaluates academic, personal, social and emotional counselling;
5. Builds a good rapport with patients and delivers effective counselling and feedback on progress;
6. Uses a variety of techniques to assist patients to reach their own resolutions or develops strategies to address and remedy their concern;
7. Provides one to one support therapy along with group support therapy;
8. Writes psychological assessment reports;
9. Contribute to the development of pathways within specialist areas and provide team guidance and training on suitable approaches including but not limited to supervision.
10. Completes records and all service monitoring requirements on time and to a high standard ensuring full compliance;
11. Maintains a high standard of knowledge in the subject area and continues to update this knowledge by attending CPD courses among others including but not limited to eating disorders;
12. Works and liaises with the Centre's multidisciplinary team;
13. Attends team meetings, supervision sessions and training as required;
14. Referring clients to other healthcare professionals where appropriate;
15. Liaising with healthcare professionals as part of a health management team;
16. Other duties as may be delegated in line with the service provision.
Knowledge / Education / Skills
1. 2 years' psychology experience;
2. A Bachelor's degree in clinical psychology from an accredited university;
3. A Master's degree in clinical psychology or a Master's degree in a specific branch of counselling;
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers; English (must), Russian (preferred), Italian (preferred), French (preferred), Spanish (preferred).
5. Good computer proficiency (eg. MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
6. DOH/DHA License holders

1. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions;
2. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance;
3. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly with patients and staff;
4. Must be flexible with respect to working hours.
Safeguarding

Colleagues must be aware of local child and adult protection procedures and who to contact within the Local Authority Safeguarding team for further advice. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding awareness training and to undertake additional training appropriate to their role.
