ServiceNow Reporting and Dashboard Developer
Job Purpose: The ServiceNow Reporting and Dashboard Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards within the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures data accuracy, provides actionable insights, and supports decision-making by creating visually compelling and user-friendly reporting solutions. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, analyze data, and deliver innovative solutions that align with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Reporting and Dashboard Development: Design and develop reports and dashboards within the ServiceNow platform, leveraging its native reporting capabilities and performance analytics tools. Ensure that reports and dashboards meet business requirements, are visually appealing, and provide actionable insights. Optimize reports and dashboards for performance and usability. Data Analysis and Visualization: Gather and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support decision-making. Create meaningful visualizations to present data in a clear and concise manner. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in reports and dashboards. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, project teams, and leadership to understand reporting requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications for reports and dashboards. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on reporting progress and deliverables. Testing and Validation: Test and validate all reports and dashboards to ensure they meet requirements and function as expected. Address issues or discrepancies in data and resolve them in a timely manner. Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and tools to better meet organizational needs. Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow reporting features and capabilities to recommend and implement improvements. Automate repetitive reporting tasks to increase efficiency. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation for all reports, dashboards, and reporting processes. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively use reports and dashboards. Governance and Compliance: Ensure all reports and dashboards comply with organizational policies, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement role-based access controls to secure sensitive data. Required Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in reporting, data visualization, or dashboard development, with at least 2 years working on ServiceNow platforms. Experience in designing and developing reports and dashboards in ServiceNow Performance Analytics or similar tools. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in ServiceNow reporting tools, including Performance Analytics, List Reports, and Report Designer. Strong knowledge of ServiceNow tables, fields, and relationships. Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, and other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data and identify trends. Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and present insights clearly. Attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and quality. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is preferred. ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus. Seniority level
