Job Description

The ServiceNow Development Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role combines technical expertise with leadership capabilities to guide the development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality ServiceNow solutions that meet business objectives and technical requirements. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead the design and development of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring best practices are followed. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow releases and features to drive platform optimization and innovation. Design scalable and efficient solutions for ServiceNow modules, integrations, and custom applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure alignment of solutions with organizational goals and compliance standards. Development Oversight: Manage the full development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions. Review and approve code to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow development to streamline deployments and reduce downtime. Team Management: Lead a team of developers, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of projects. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. Platform Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to improve the performance, usability, and scalability of the ServiceNow platform. Ensure the effective use of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and others, based on organizational needs. Integration and Automation: Design and build integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and middleware. Automate workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency. Governance and Compliance: Enforce development and configuration standards for the ServiceNow platform. Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and compliance requirements. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet their needs. Provide regular updates on development progress, timelines, and potential risks. Required Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Experience: 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven experience with the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications. Experience with integrations using REST, SOAP, or other integration tools and middleware. Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines. Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM is required and other relevant modules is highly preferred. ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) is highly preferred. ITIL and/or Agile/Scrum certifications are desirable. Seniority level
