Job Description

We are currently hiring - SERVICE MANAGER FOR our Electronics division.

Overview: As a Service Manager in the electronics industry, you will oversee the service department's operations, ensuring timely and efficient repair and maintenance services for electronic devices. You will lead a team of service technicians, handle customer inquiries, and implement strategies to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a focus on delivering exceptional service experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery. Assign tasks, set performance targets, and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

2. Service Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of the service department's operations, including scheduling repairs, allocating resources, and monitoring workflow to ensure timely completion of service orders. Implement efficient processes and procedures to streamline service operations and maximize productivity.

3. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to service technicians, assisting with complex repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Stay updated on the latest technologies and repair techniques to facilitate effective problem-solving.

4. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their service needs, address inquiries, and provide updates on the status of repairs. Handle escalated customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction.

5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of repairs performed by the service team. Conduct regular inspections and audits of completed repairs to verify compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.

6. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for repairs, ensuring adequate stock levels to support service operations. Coordinate with suppliers to replenish inventory as needed and optimize inventory turnover to minimize costs.

7. Performance Reporting: Generate regular reports on service department performance, including key metrics such as repair turnaround time, customer satisfaction ratings, and service revenue. Analyze data to identify trends, assess performance against targets, and develop strategies for improvement.

8. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines governing the repair and servicing of electronic devices. Implement safety protocols and training programs to promote a safe working environment for service technicians.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field preferred.

Proven experience in electronics repair or service management, with a strong technical background.

Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of service technicians.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality service.

Proficiency in computer systems and software applications used for service management and reporting.
