Scope and Purpose:

Facilitates Mega Projects in FEED, Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering phases for execution of Value Engineering (VE) review and ensuring compliance to VE procedures.

Roles and responsibilities:

. Support Mega projects in timely conductance of Value Engineering reviews workshops and ensuring implementation of accepted Value Engineering ideas during project execution phase. . Ensure that Mega Projects carry out Value Engineering review activity as per VE procedure. . Evaluate and revalidate Value Engineering and associated cost saving reports submitted by Mega Projects. . Conduct Value Engineering reviews workshops and ensuring implementation of accepted Value Engineering ideas during project execution phase. . Prepare and maintain VE practices/procedures . Ensure compliance of VE practices/procedures by affiliates and contractors throughout project life cycle. . Support ITB and TBE activities related to VE . Facilitate value engineering workshops and prepare reports . Manage 3rd party agencies conducting value engineering workshops . Monitor implementation of agreed value proposals . Record and interpret cost savings data . Other duties as assigned per Fluor Global Job Profile.

Basic Job Requirements . Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. . Minimum 15 years' experience in petrochemical, fertilizer, refining, oil and gas manufacturing organizations in process, operation, maintenance, technical support services, project engineering and/or project management environment. . Minimum 10 years' experience in the Value Engineering area (including facilitating workshops and preparing reports) . Experience with Consulting and/or with EPC companies shall be advantageous. . SAVE certification preferred: VMA (value methodology associate) and CVS (certified value specialist). Ability to obtain SAVE certification . Experience in leading/facilitating Value Engineering Review Workshops & Value Improving Practices Reviews in projects environment. . Intermediate to Advanced computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs

Other Job Requirements . Hands-on experience in own discipline for preparation of data sheets, specifications and engineering drawings and documents. . Hands-on experience in conducting, leading and facilitating Value Engineering Review Workshops and preparation of Value Engineering reports. . Hands-on experience in conducting, leading and facilitating Value Improving Practices Reviews

Preferred Qualifications . Certified Value Specialist (CVS) certification from SAVE International or equivalent.
