The CompanyRobert Half International is working with a leading Utilities company based Abu Dhabi. Due to significant growth they are looking to recruit a Head of Tax.The RoleYou will be responsible for analysing and building a Treasury management system, and should be well-versed in cash management, bank reconciliation, derivatives FX, and accounting.
Treasury Management System: Analyse, design, and implement a robust Treasury management system to streamline financial operations and risk management.
Cash Management: Oversee daily cash management operations including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and investment decision making.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of financial data and adherence to internal controls.
Derivatives & FX: Manage foreign exchange risk, including derivatives trading, hedging strategies, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Accounting: Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-making support.
Assisting with Treasury Projects and Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute treasury projects. Support in cash management, liquidity, and risk management.
Data Integrity and Balance Sheet Verification: Ensure accuracy and integrity of data related to treasury activities. Verify balance sheet accounts and reconcile trading positions and prices.
System Reconciliations: Resolve positions and entries with external banks (Nostro), accounting and settlement ledgers. Monitor and address discrepancies promptly.
Control and Governance: Adhere to control and governance principles within set policies. Prepare and substantiate adjustments, review new deals, and monitor relevant threshold limits. Prepare and monitor a dashboard of Treasury internal control dashboard e.g. KPIs, KRIs. Maintain a live procedure manual.
Balance Sheet Substantiation and Commentaries: Prepare month-end balance sheet substantiation and provide insightful commentaries. Review weekly and monthly MIS reporting for management.
Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP): Contribute to the development and implementation of RRP strategies.
Processing: Payment administration via internal and external Treasury/banking interfaces. Daily position reconciliations. Internal authorization workflow administration (requestions, settlement etc).
Reporting/Analysis: Prepare funding/liquidity budget and rolling forecast reports. Stress Positions and value at risk dashboard. Cost of Capital i.e. WACC analysis. Treasury Exceptions report. Exospore report. Insurance modelling i.e. scenario analysis of events and insurance strategies.
Coordination: Maintain a robust connection with internal teams i.e. Projects Management, Procurement etc. Coordinate and follow-up with main banks and group affiliates. Coordinate with Insurance brokers as when required.
IT automation: Suggest, implement and test workflow automation tools via the use of RPAs, AI, ML etc. Develop interface to develop Power-BI dashboards.
The Candidate
Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, CFA, CPA) is a plus.
Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Treasury Analyst or similar role in financial management.
Strong knowledge of financial legislation, regulation, and practices.
Proficiency in treasury software and financial management systems.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills
