Job ObjectivesThe role holder leads the Training and Competence Team for the MEAC region and is responsible for coordinating and delivering Technical Competence projects and initiatives as requested by the business and functionally.The role provides support to the managers with specific direction and guidance provided through periodic review of progress and results. The role is responsible for working autonomously on assigned tasks and liaising with the appropriate Technical Competence team members and relevant business stakeholders. Work will be delivered in accordance with local and global functional policy and guidelines, preferred suppliers, and budget restrictions.Contributes to developing and retaining motivated and competent people, and to assuring the safe delivery of services by competent personnelResponsibilities:
Liaise w/ discipline leads to support and identify short and long-term technical/non-technical training requirements and needs of employees as per the completed competence assessment and career development plan
Support all discipline leads in the development of individual training plan and assist in monitoring of completion as per the agreed training activities
Develop training calendar in coordination and collaboration w/ Engineering Manager and other discipline leads, and provides support, if necessary, in preparation of available training resources
Assist the T&C team with the planning, coordination, and administration of project specific activities/requirements.
Drive mandatory training and competence compliance progress
Act as the project focal point and support the Project Leads/Managers on Training & Competence queries.
Support the delivery and monitoring of training sessions, evaluate effectiveness and provide recommendations as per the feedback received
Develop/Maintain standardized reporting on competence and technical training data allowing for accurate analysis
Coordinate T&C programs as required ensuring relevant stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
Support regular reporting of Talent Development activities
Assist in internal and external competence assurance activities including audits
Monitor the renewal of expiring certifications and initiate escalation where appropriate
Maintenance of Training & Competence Management Systems - training records data entry and competence portfolios (includes data entry and data quality check)
Monitor Competency Assessment enrolments and completions
Act as the focal point for all CMS-related (and other utilized platforms) issues, ensuring clear communication and effective in-time resolution Liaise with/address issues to Technical Directorate Competence Coordinator
Monitor Career Development Plan completions and submission including regular Quality Checks/Audits
Provide clear introduction and guidance on Competence Assessment Form (CAF) and Career Development Plan (CDP) completion process for new and existing employees
Conduct training gap analysis and training pan using Competency Assessment Forms and Career Development Plans
Design and develop training materials, workshops, and other learning activities tailored to the organization's needs
Use various instructional methods to create engaging and effective learning experience
scheduling, organizing logistics, and delivering sessions personally (if required)
Collaborate with external and internal trainers/SMEs and training providers for specialized topics
Collect feedback, analyzing performance metrics, and recalibrating strategies as needed to enhance outcomes
Source external training providers, agencies and accredited bodies where necessary to meet legislative and industry standard
Record, track and report training hours achieved for contracts
Participate on Project regular meetings/townhalls
Report status on regular basis: Weekly Departmental Reports & Bi-weekly Project Stakeholders Report
Prepare various documents (reports, spread sheets, presentations, etc.) weekly/ monthly basis or as directed by the Line Manager/Contract Manager
Ensure project and client specific competence requirements are achieved
Qualifications:Qualifications:
Bachelor's or equivalent
Working towards training management or has equivalent level experience
Job Specific Experience:
Knowledge of training management practices and principles
Coordination and administration experience
Previous experience in an TD or HR environment preferred
