The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic Engineer who should be approved by RTA for TIS level-3, or at meets the approval requirements to join our dynamic team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and project management. This role involves overseeing traffic engineering projects, conducting traffic studies, and developing innovative solutions to enhance traffic flow and safety. The Senior Traffic Engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects while adhering to local regulations and standards. Responsibilities: - Lead and manage traffic engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet project timelines and budgets. - Conduct comprehensive traffic studies and analyses to assess current traffic conditions and predict future traffic patterns. - Develop and implement traffic management plans, including signal timing, lane configurations, and roadway design. - Collaborate with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. - Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders. - Utilize advanced traffic modeling software and tools to simulate traffic scenarios and assess the impact of proposed changes. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment. - Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in traffic engineering and transportation planning, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes. - Conduct field investigations and surveys to gather necessary data for traffic studies and project assessments. - Participate in public meetings and workshops to present project information and address community concerns.



Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning, with a proven track record of successful project management. - Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices. - Proficiency in traffic modeling software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, HCS) and GIS applications. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Familiarity with local traffic regulations, standards, and guidelines in the UAE is a plus. - A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for improving transportation systems and enhancing community safety.
