:Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and, we are looking to hire a Senior Telecom & Instrument Designer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center.Responsibilities:
Develop drawings, diagrams and other 2D and 3D instrumentation design deliverables such as Telecom Architecture, FO core allocation, block diagram, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, control architecture diagrams, Telecom location drawings, cable route drawings, bills of materials, cable lists, hook ups, using both 2D software (AutoCAD) and Smart Plant Instrumentation as a tool, Smart Plant 3D, AVEVA.
Utilize AutoCAD\'s block functionality to create reusable content (such as symbols or standard details) for efficient design workflows.
Applying telecommunications fundamentals under direct supervision or guidance from a Senior Telecom Designer.
Create detailed SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) and E3D/PDMS models for telecommunications Equipment\'s. This involves accurately representing equipment, cabling, and other components in a 3D environment.
Collaborate with other design disciplines (such as civil, structural, and electrical) to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems within larger projects.
Generate material takeoffs from SP3D models, providing accurate quantities for procurement and construction.
Must have knowledge of the Instrumentation & Control discipline activities including Fire and Gas and Telecoms discipline scope/time requirements, and assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Electrical & Electronics or Instrument Technology Engineering with 8+ years of experience in design and preparation of Instrumentation & Telecommunication deliverables for Chemical/ Oil and Gas Industrial Projects, including minimum (2) years (preferred) in GCC region.
Experience in Telecommunication & Instrumentation Engineering Design Environment
Ability to check engineering design deliverables in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering design environment.

Onshore and Offshore experience, ADNOC experience is desired.
Experience FEED, Detail design and EPC projects.
Fully coherent in all international codes and standards
Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required.
Assurance of tender and supply for all Telecommunication & Instrument equipment
Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA systems generally incorporated in major Brownfield oil / gas offshore projects.
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
