Purpose & Scope:
Group Finance covers the core finance functions of accounting and reporting the Group's financial position and performance, both internally to senior management and externally via the Annual Audit Reports by ensuring effective reporting and control of compliance, audits, capital expenditure, investments and assets, for the group operations of Legend Group of companies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly/Occasional:
In-house reports & others
a) Review the monthly reports from Finance Managers/Team Leaders
b) Ensure monthly financial closing and meetings of BUs (within the 7 working days of every month)
c) Analysis of monthly performance of BUs
d) Preparation & Analysis of standalone & consolidated financials of all BUs & Group
e) Ensure/support the yearly closing of books of account of the group Co.s
f) Support internal audits
g) Support to ensure relevant policies and procedures are performed
Taxation (Direct & Indirect)
a) From reviewing tax returns prepared by BU Team to ensuring that their organization is complying with tax laws, tax managers' tasks require high- level thinking and complex analysis.
b) Assisting and managing the tax compliance process for the organization, including preparing and reviewing tax returns (corporate, VAT, and other applicable taxes), ensuring accuracy, and meeting all filing deadlines.
c) Manage the company's tax documentation to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date.
d) Manage tax provision and tax compliance process by improving processes by developing and implementing best practices including system development.
e) Collaborating with internal departments to provide tax advice and guidance on business transactions, acquisitions, and restructurings.
f) Managing relationships with external tax advisors and auditors, coordinating the engagement process, and reviewing their work to ensure quality and efficiency.
g) Manage and coordinate tax audits and improve experience by participating in tax audits and examinations, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and resolving any tax-related issues or disputes.
h) Providing guidance and training to finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters, ensuring understanding of tax requirements and best practices.
Other Compliances
i) Support for ESR filings /compliances of the group
j) Support for FACTA/CRS compliance of LHG
k) Support for UAE AML (if required)
General
l) Ensure/support/prepare the Business plan & Budgets of BUs
m) Supporting Group Finance Director & Group Tax Head
