• Development of design concepts, carrying out detailed design of bridges, underpasses, rail structures, stations, and other infrastructure structures.
• Produce detailed design information including calculations and design sketches.
• Provide technical lead on design tasks.
• Liaise with CAD/BIM Technician for production of drawings.
• Plan and carry out site inspections of structures, if required.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Carry out risk assessments and provision of design information for Health and Safety.
• Inspection, assessment and strengthening of road/rail bridges and other structures.
• Report writing and production of technical reports and documents.
• Championing innovation and demonstrating technical leadership to small size team.

Specific Skills Required

• Must have minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in of bridges, underpasses, rail structures, stations, and other infrastructure structures. UAE/ME projects experience would be preferred.
• Relevant experience in inspection and assessment of bridges and other transportation structures is preferable
• Must have worked at a similar level on major civil infrastructure projects.
• Understand the commonly used forms of contract and the implication to drawings produced on each project as per client requirements.
• Shows willingness and enthusiasm, actively contributes.
• Supports colleagues, seen as a team leader.
• Knowledge sharing to junior Technicians.
• Experience with various software packages for analysis and design such as Midas, STAAD, SAP, RM Bridges.

ExperienceMinimum Requirements 10 years of work experienceQualifications

• Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Bridge, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Preferably educated to MSc level or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer (MIStructE, or C.Eng. from UK) or Professional Engineer (PE from USA) is highly preferred.
• PMP is preferred.
