OverviewFacility overview:M42 in partnering with the UAE Ministry of Defence to operate Zayed Military Hospital (National & Military Screening Service) in Al Batayeh, Sharjah. This collaboration will provide world-class healthcare to over three million residents in the northern UAE, including military personnel and their families. By integrating top healthcare providers like the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Healthpoint, M42 will ensure access to specialized and preventative care. Full-scale operations are set to launch in early 2025.Role overview:Reporting to the Service Line Manager/Nurse Manager, the Senior Staff Nurse is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care for patients and their families, adhering to current evidence-based standards. They will apply sound judgment within their designated clinical area, ensuring care aligns with DOH regulations and the organizations policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards. In addition to providing direct patient care, they will coordinate and oversee nursing practice, demonstrating flexibility to meet service needs. The role also includes deputizing for the Line Manager in their absence, promoting evidence-based practices, and taking responsibility for supervising staff and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures within their clinical area.Responsibilities
Ensures adherence to division policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of performance and conduct.
Supervises and motivates the team, managing daily ward or department operations to optimize staff performance, resource utilization, and teamwork.
Ensures staff are aware of their duties, responsibilities, and expected performance standards during their shifts.
Organizes daily staffing based on skills and experience, ensuring maximum bed capacity usage and efficient patient admissions and discharges.
Deputizes for the department manager as required, supporting the implementation and review of evidence-based, cost-effective, patient-centered clinical practices.
Works closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop services and ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care, improving patient experience across the facility.
Contributes to the formulation and review of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital-wide policies and continuous quality improvement.
Ensures nursing staff delivers high-quality patient care while fostering a proactive, patient-centered approach.
Provides patient education, promotes health initiatives, and ensures safety standards are followed in all clinical activities.
Assists in the design and implementation of clinical programs, KPIs, and services that ensure patient safety and quality care, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in nursing with an active DOH license.
Minimum of 5 years of experience post qualification with proven leadership and team lead experience.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, with a focus on continuous professional development.
