You will handle a variety of tasks ranging from initial supplier negotiations to more transactional duties including RFQ, purchase order entry, delivery tracking etc and collaborate across the organisation to ensure the team has the information, tools, and processes in place to drive success.Key Responsibilities
Support the line manager in procurement and supplier management activities, Including strategic suppliers, technology OEM's, contract and pricing agreement negotiations, project management, and supplier performance reporting.
Support purchasing projects and define objectives, resources, timelines, specifications, supplier selection criteria in close collaboration with the business.
Manage representatives of strategic supplier relationships to optimize cost, quality and service as well as minimize risks for operations.
Tracking and monitoring of KPI / Management Information of supplier delivery versus contract and in particular link payment against risk/reward model.
Developing and driving supplier improvement plans when performance is not as per the required standards.
Developing and agreeing supplier account plans to drive the relationship forward and maximize value.
Tracking and monitoring of financial performance of supplier delivery versus business requirements and/or contractual commitments.
Ensuring supplier performance & contractual delivery is optimized.
Ensuring relevant financial controls are in place to assess cost/price consistency & avoidance of irregularities.
Be the central point of contact for the Suppliers.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with the organizational goals and Procurement objectives.
Act as the business owner for his or her categories, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the OU of this Category (this entails owning, forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the category, along with responsibility for driving strategic projects to achieve business objectives).
Develop short-term/long-term category planning, and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories following a standard strategic sourcing methodology.
Drive the RFx process through to completion; including requirements gathering, identifying go/no go criteria, develop scorecards with criteria and weighting, bidder's conferences, etc.
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams that develop requirements and strategy to identify suppliers, establish SLA/KPI metrics and requirements. Measure supplier performance against contract SLAs and expectations and initiate corrective actions in the event of missed expectations to resolve any performance issues.
Perform benchmarking and drive other market intelligence activities.
Lead total cost of ownership analysis and cost modeling.
Implement and lead regular supplier business review meetings.
Build strong and productive working relationships with stakeholders, business partners, legal and finance.
Facilitate, develop SOW and MSA's - serve as a liaison between business and legal.
Have full understanding of Contract terms and methodologies
Manage compliance to contracts.
Help identify areas of risk for the business (i.e., delivery of service, quality, performance, timeline, warranty, governance); make recommendations where applicable.
Ability to insert oneself into business and recognize areas that require continuous improvement and make recommendations for efficiency gain.
Education and Minimum Qualification
BS/BE - Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering
7+ years of experience with Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management.
Solid team player; can work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
Strong analytical, attention to detail, oral and written communications skills
Self-motivated, reliable, accountable, passionate, and can keep to deadlines
Multiple category and sub-category experience is a plus.
