For more information, please visit: Job PurposeSenior Specialist, IT Demand Management - Tech/Ops serves as interface between IT and specific business units across the geography for the purposes of business technology alignment, technology needs identification, solution discovery, and relationship management. Collaborate across functional areas and Operating Companies to define opportunities and identify and prioritize demand based on predefined criteria while ensuring there is no deviation from the strategic and technology roadmaps.The incumbent needs to understand Tech/Ops (Site Acquisition, Site Maintenance, NOC, Technical implementation and Rollouts, Warehouse & Inventory Management) functional requirements & processes to identify business technology and/or process opportunities including process automation, working with business & IT managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budget.Core Responsibilities
  • Accountable for ensuing Technical functional end users receive responsive, customer centric and effective IT Services.
  • Provide highly valued support and guidance to the business on IT initiatives and facilitate the production of a prioritized roadmap to meet business demand.
  • Develop strong understanding of each business segment, offering expert advice whilst balancing the needs of the end customer with the central IT strategy.
  • Be an advocate for IT, promoting IT services and capabilities.
  • Build strategic and valued relationships based on integrity and rapport. Act as a proactive and trusted advisor to business units.
  • Own and manage key strategic relationships between IT and vendors.
  • Facilitate strategic conversations and planning with key business stakeholders to ensure that business strategies and needs are aligned to current and future state enterprise architecture.
  • Champion requirements gathering, prepare recommendations, and drive the development of business cases through to completion.
  • Ensure delivery of technology outcomes that foster value management and optimization.
  • Partner with all business stakeholders within assigned portfolio to ensure a clear understanding of the business architecture changes required to deliver business outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure impact of proposed investment is understood by decision makers and will support informed prioritization in line within relevant governance and control, such as the Programme/ Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Collaborate with the enterprise architecture and operations team to design solutions that support business processes and align with enterprise-wide strategies and business architecture.
  • Serve as the portfolio manager to enable mutual prioritization of business demand while overseeing the launch of solutions and technology rollouts to help maximize positive impact of the business units.
  • Develop and maintain a project and enhancement roadmap aligned with business priority, IT capacity, technical dependencies, and ongoing project portfolio.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science or any other relevant numerate discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum 4-6 years experience as a Business Analyst. Experience in/as IT or Digital Enabler for BTS function enablement. Preferred Industry would be Telecoms with a focus area in BTS deployment and maintenance management systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in IT Business Analysis and Project Management (certifications desired).
  • Broad experience in project and solution delivery of BTS Site Deployment and Site Management Systems (e.g. Site and facilities Management, IoT based Power Management Systems, etc)
  • Broad experience in project and solution delivery of key enterprise applications & solutions, e.g. ERP, Enterprise Asset Management, Data-Warehousing, Planning and Forecasting solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience in rolling out Bespoke and Off the shelf and Reporting systems
  • Advanced skills in business case development, cost-benefit analysis, portfolio optimization, and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in use of relevant business processing modelling tools and other business analysis tools.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in successfully engaging with senior-level management and executives.
  • Demonstrable capability in delivering high-quality technology planning artefacts that align with business demand and IT capacity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operates a strategic approach to developing solutions and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of telecoms / telecoms infrastructure industry is desired. Manufacturing/Logistics will also be considered.
