Job Description

Job Summary/ Main PurposeSenior Specialist - the role holder is responsible to ensure the import deliveries under the guidance of UAE customs law and follows the cGMP SOP and achieve the department goals.Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
  • Coordinates with the day-to-day operations related to Custom Clearance to ensure continuity of work.
  • Coordinates with Purchase Department for the Shipping documents.
  • Ensures all details are correct and accurate, following the Custom requirements of UAE.
  • Contacts with UAE Custom, authorities and Clearing agencies
  • Ensures on time preparation of check list of required actions to clear the shipment.
  • Liaises with Shipping line and forwarder for the arrival status.
  • Prepares and completes the Duty Exemption, MOH & Customs documentation formalities.
  • Responsible for the follow up for forwarded, shipping line and transportation for the delivery.
  • Highlights the issues to purchase on the shipping documents discrepancies received from the supplier.
  • Maintains records of all shipments for ready reference in future.
  • Responsible for the Petty Cash Management and Clearance Bill submission.
  • Ensures the effective compliance of SOPs related with customs and clearance.
  • Prepares payable / receivable reports to submit in accounting department.
  • Preform any other work assigned by the manager and support colleagues whenever necessary

Qualifications / Key Experiences / Functional Knowledge Requirements
  • 2 years bachelor\'s degree in supply chain or any equivalent field.
  • At least 3-5 years\' experience in similar organization in pharma / Health care / Medical Industry.
  • Good command in English & Arabic (communicating, writing and speaking).
  • Good Knowledge in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, etc.).
