Job Description

Minimum Job Requirements

Basic Function:

Manages the provision of a comprehensive range of services, including overseeing the content of Communication materials and preparation of Company publications to meet company's requirements aiming at promoting a favorable image for the company

Key Job Accountabilities:

Media Management:

• Coordinates and communicates with media to build and maintain company's social media channels and ensure a healthy relationship is maintained with the media.
• Prepares and organizes media gatherings, forums and press conferences for special exhibitions and events in coordination with Fertiglobe / ADNOC Group of Companies to meet the Company's objectives.
• Proactively interacts with online communities across all media platforms to support the Company's communication objectives.
• Provides professional advice on technical and financial aspects on printing company publications to support the projection of a favourable corporate image for the company.
• Monitors and coordinates with local and international media on content published about the company in various media channels to ensure clarity, quality and alignment with Company guidelines and approvals.
• Ensures the production and proper distribution of greeting cards, diaries, calendars internally and externally in line with the Company vision and guidelines.
• Supervises and reviews company publication requirements and endorse illustrations or designs and sketches for requisitioning staff ensuring correctness and suitability.
• Reviews and comments on graphics for the web, print and multimedia projects for modifications or enhancements
• Reviews captions, titles, advertisements, materials for exhibitions, audio - visual programs and presentations as assigned to ensure correctness.
• Reviews and supervises the editing and translation for Company publications for timely completion.
• Supervises the production of films, photography and printing process of publications to ensure a high quality printing production.
• Conducts benchmarking studies with other local and regional similar companies to facilitate development of communication strategies and adopt best practices for the implementation of policies and objectives of oil & gas related media management.
• Identifies and promote newsworthy stories and establish key messages for relevant issues ,respond verbally, in writing and using social media to external announcements, including Government statements and member company events, where appropriate.

Web Content:

• Ensures company intranet and company web pages related to the Public Relations to facilitate communication of up to date and accurate information.

Supervision:

• Plans, supervises and coordinates all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets:

• Provides input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:

• Implements approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management:

• Contributes to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Designs and implements new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identifies improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:

• Complies with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and Fertiglobe / ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports:

• Provides inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Internal:

• Frequent contacts with the Leadership and Middle Management Team as well as employees of the Company to determine communication and public relations requirements and advise on proposed PR programmes

External:

• Maintains regular and high level contacts with Fertiglobe / ADNOC and its Group of companies, government officials, representatives of the business community, local and international media.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Communications or Public Relations or equivalent Professional Qualification.

Experience

8 years of experience in the Corporate Communication covering Media Relations and PR functions
