Senior Site Mechanical Engineer (offshore)

Job Description
- Lead mechanical engineering activities on offshore projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to on-site mechanical teams and contractors.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Monitor mechanical system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (including electrical, structural, and instrumentation engineers) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Participate in risk assessments, ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe manner.
- Manage project timelines and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards.
- Prepare reports and documentation for management and client review.
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in an offshore setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and offshore operations.
- Experience with project management and supervising on-site engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems under challenging conditions.
- Knowledge of international codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ANSI, and ISO).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to work offshore for extended periods as per project needs.
