Lead mechanical engineering activities on offshore projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
Provide technical support and guidance to on-site mechanical teams and contractors.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
Monitor mechanical system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (including electrical, structural, and instrumentation engineers) to deliver integrated solutions.
Participate in risk assessments, ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe manner.
Manage project timelines and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards.
Prepare reports and documentation for management and client review.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in an offshore setting.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and offshore operations.
Experience with project management and supervising on-site engineering teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems under challenging conditions.
Knowledge of international codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ANSI, and ISO).
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Willingness to work offshore for extended periods as per project needs.
