Global Construction and Infrastructure (GCI) Paving has a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic Senior Sales Representative to join the Africa Middle East Paving team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and driving services growth across West, Central, and Southern Africa, through developing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned dealers to effectively market company products and services, as well as assist in enhancing dealer sales capabilities through training, support and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
What you will do:
Designing and assisting dealers on the forecast, sales strategy planning, and sales techniques; supporting the rollout of new products.
Performing regular sales performance and sales targets reviews with dealers and ensuring implementation of corrective actions where needed.
Acting within the business process guidance on review and approval for variance programs and commercial actions.
Presenting products or services for stakeholders, Conducting Paving product training, answering any customer questions, and addressing their needs.
Skills you have:
Extensive experience in Communications skills, Relationship management and Customer focus - Fosters strong customer relationships via delivery on commitments, open communication, and on-going feedback/improvement.
Extensive experience in Value selling: Ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Extensive experience in Decision Making and Critical thinking - Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Knowledge of the industry trends and regulatory environment and business development techniques
Ability to engage and negotiate with others to achieve win-win solutions.
Other requirements:
University degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering or equivalent experience required.
+6 years' experience in commercial roles involving dealer and/or customer facing interactions.
Fluent in English and French (speaking and writing).
Top candidates will also have:
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Caterpillar Paving products and applications
Strong drive and organizational capabilities.
Previous experience of working in a multinational company and matrix organization
Additional Details
Travel: up to 50% in assigned territories. - West, Central and southern.
Work location: Abidjan, Johannesburg or Dubai.
