We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Spare Parts Sales Manager to lead and oversee the spare parts sales operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, building customer relationships, and ensuring consistent growth in revenue while managing a high-performing team. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep market knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
• Prepare and manage annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports
• Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Set clear sales targets and monitor team progress. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop strategies for expanding the customer base and retaining existing clients.
• Inventory and Supply Coordination:
• Collaborate with inventory and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of quality spare parts.
• Monitor and manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
• Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach.
• Work closely with marketing teams to plan promotional activities and campaigns.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Track and analyse sales performance metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
• Generate regular sales reports and present findings to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience (10+ years) in spare parts sales, with at least 6 years in a managerial role.
• Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of the spare parts industry, including automotive or machinery sectors.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and sales CRM tools.
