What is Polygon Labs?

Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.

Job Summary

Polygon Labs is looking for an experienced Rust developer to join the team building Plonky2 to help move the project into production. This person will be working on novel problems in the Zero Knowledge space and should be comfortable stepping into the unknown from time to time to solve hard problems as we're breaking new ground.
### Key Job Responsibilities

• Implementing the code needed to interact with Plonky2
• Building scalable and secure systems in rust
• Performing code reviews
• Mentoring junior team members
• Designing the architecture for future projects

### A Day in the Life

• Implementing a new feature for the Plonky2 integration in rust
• Reviewing open pull requests
• Reviewing architectures for future projects
• Researching a solution to a new problem

### About the Team

• A distributed rust team working on novel problems in the ZK space
• Our main focus in the coming years is all around ZK technology, and you will be at the center of it

### What you'll need

• Previous experience with Rust is required (2+ years)
• Previous experience with distributed systems
• Knowledge of Ethereum internals is helpful

### Preferred Qualifications

• A basic understanding of zero knowledge proofs is helpful
• A degree in a technical field is preferred
