Trust Aircraft Appearance Centre to make every flight a visual masterpiece.Assist the team in the restoration of the interior/exterior finish of the aircraft/cabin. Ensure all damage to the finish interior/exterior surfaces will be assessed and restored in accordance with laid down procedures.In this role; you will:Maintain a safe and clean working environment in order to minimize safety hazards. Through the correct use of the approved paint products and ensuring the work area is kept safe and clean.Ensure all required tooling and consumable spares are available to carry out the restoration. Where tooling and spares are unavailable, should notify the manager on shift to procure the same.Conduct routine preparation and polishing, whenever delegated by supervisor without supervision.Aircraft Appearance Centre:Carry out paint work relating to the preparation, painting and finishing of panels, structures and components removed from the aircraft in accordance with the approved process and documentation.Prepare the coating system for the paint technicians, making them ready to use when required. Job holder should be fully aware of the ambient conditions and the right ratios of the different paint materials used.Conduct post painting activities, by supervising the entire housekeeping and cleaning process of the hanger, paint equipment and telescopic platforms.Restore the interior finish of the cabin to the highest standard.To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:Engineering: 1+ YearVocational or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent): Higher / National Diploma or Apprenticeship in Engineering, Automotive or a related industry or equivalent training with a reputable airline or an approved maintenance organisation.Knowledge/skills:Experience in Aviation or Automotive Workshops.Must have knowledge of maintenance safety, human factors and general aircraft engineering practices.Must have knowledge of Aircraft Manuals, General Repair Manuals and Engineering drawings pertaining to rework, paint finishes and application of markings.Must have knowledge of different coating systems with their relevant data sheets in the areas of mixing, induction times, and viscosity.Details of Safety Sensitive role Yes/NoWorking at height YESExposure to hazardous energy systems YESHeavy lifting YESWorking in areas with motorised mobile equipment YESWork in confined spaces YESContact with contaminations materials (Humans/Animals/Chemicals) YESContact with dangerous good YESWork in an extremely noisy environment YESWork in heat YESWorking with pressurised substances YESExposure to fixed protruding sharp objects YESExposure to contact with moving/falling objects.
