Role Summary
Consulting segment serves the oil & gas industry in developing reservoir-driven solutions covering the full asset life cycle, from the earliest phases of project development through abandonment. The professional that GCea is seeking for will be responsible for evaluating Oil and Gas projects as a Petroleum/Production engineer and making evaluations of the development feasibility of the project. As a consultant, he will handle special projects, as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities
Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering. Advantage if worked with unconventional reservoirs, for example as displayed in Shale Gas or Heavy Oil.
Uses industry standard software tools under supervision to create interpretations or answer products.
Recommend activities to clients for enhancing their field development plans.
Field experience or experience working with Operators and understanding their requirements. Demonstrates an ability to understand the key operating levels of the oil and gas industry.
Identify optimization opportunities for existing clients.
Provide Asset development input to multi-disciplinary projects, including field development planning, reservoir performance analysis, and reserves estimation and auditing.
Has good knowledge of Due diligence tasks and asset reviews.
Has experience of hydraulic fracture modeling and Design.
Has knowledge of smart completion modelling and Design in well bore modelling software.
Can conduct production-pressure analysis - PTA & RTA.
Demonstrates knowledge dynamic reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, PVT and SCAL data analysis; must be keen to learn workflows in reservoir engineering.
Can conduct high-level economics analysis for production enhancement opportunity quantification.
Basic knowledge of new formation evaluation technologies in the O&G Industry.
Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team for the delivery of a specified scope of work and travel 20-30% of time.
Qualifications/Requirements
University degree in Petroleum/Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 15 years of industry experience in an oil exploration and production company or international service company in reservoir engineering.
Consultant previous work experience is an added advantage.
Broad integrated reservoir experience of carbonate reservoirs across a variety of international plays.
Show evidence of working in an integrated, multi-disciplinary team in a multi-well full-field environment
Reservoir simulation (at least 15 years of experience), both black oil and compositional PVT in ECLIPSE, with Petrel-RE or Equivalent Industry accepted software
Design and implement field development plans (FDP)
Pressure transient analysis using Sapphire or equivalent software.
Analysis of laboratory PVT data including the construction of equation-of-state (EOS) PVT models for use in reservoir simulation
Expertise in analysis and utilization of SCAL data for reservoir performance analysis and prediction.
Analysis of production data such as: well tests, fluid levels, shut-in bottom hole pressure surveys, production logging data
Decline curve analysis in unconventional reservoirs
Conducting uncertainty and optimization for full-field reservoir simulation studies using petrel-RE or equivalent software
Prepare petroleum economics analyses.
Is a team player and maintains good working relations with other members
Has coaching and mentoring ability to impart skills and knowledge to younger team members
