ROLE DESCRIPTION: Strategic Planning and Initiatives in Reservoir Engineering Techno-economical Evaluation Field Development Planning Operational Planning Human Resources Management Reporting & Documentation KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Description: Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives for all the reservoir engineering-related works. Provide techno-economical analyses such as reservoir modeling, dynamic simulation, production forecasting, economical evaluation, and integration of insights through the analyses to support decision-making. Identify opportunities for project development, cost reduction and improved operational efficiency. Develop annual budgets related to reservoir engineering works, such as outsourcing works, software, etc. Lead techno-economical evaluation work in relation to reservoir engineering aspects with collaboration with other disciplines to support the exploration activities. Support and advise the team on conducting the evaluation. Lead and draft the field development plan on the basis of techno-economical evaluation in compliance with the guidelines by authorities. Plan operational activities for reservoir evaluation, such as well tests, pressure / mobility measurements, rock property measurements, core tests, and other related tests in good communication with other technical disciplines. Supervise those and related activities including data quality check/control. Communicate with and instruct to the external vendors / service providers to achieve deliverables, cost and schedule goals. Draft and negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Oversee the contracting and procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Monitor progress and costs to be compliant to audit. Share knowledge with colleagues. Advise on recruitment, onboarding, deboarding, and training of employees. Report to Technical Department Manager & communicate with the manager and staff to support decision making. Document all the reservoir engineering-related works conducted including basis of planning, evaluation, estimation, etc., with appropriate formats. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering, geology, geophysics, and/or a related field is required. Experience Requirements: Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering works within the oil and gas industry. Experience in exploration companies and/or operating companies are preferred. Skills: Project Management: Ability to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Contract Management: Ability to draft, review and negotiate contracts with vendors / contractors under the internal support. Financial Management: Expertise in managing budgets and costs. Administrative Skills: Proficiency in office management, including procurement, vendor management, and maintenance. Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), industry standard software for reservoir engineering, reservoir simulator, material balance analysis, NODAL analysis, PVT analysis, uncertainty analysis, well test analysis, etc. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to integrate and interpret technical data and provide insights for decision-making. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of reservoir/petroleum engineering such as production forecasting, field development planning, reservoir evaluation including operational aspects, reservoir simulation/modeling, and reserves/resources evaluation in compliance with the latest Petroleum Resources Management System (PRMS). Knowledge of geology, geophysics, drilling, and facility engineering preferred. Risk Management: Ability to identify and mitigate technical and operational risks. Seniority level
