Job Description

:Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness based on project scope, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of initial budgetary proposals and refine estimates as the project progresses.
Procurement Management:
  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Review and analyse contractor and supplier quotes to ensure value for money and compliance with specifications and project requirements.
Financial Management & Monitoring:
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, ensuring projects remain within budget.
  • Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting, providing detailed financial analysis of project performance.
  • Prepare and manage interim payments, claims, and invoices to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
Contract Administration & Management:
  • Review and manage contract documents, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Administer and monitor subcontractor agreements, ensuring work is completed within budget and on schedule.
Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess cost-related risks to the project and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Advise senior management on cost-related risks and opportunities, ensuring proactive management of financial aspects.
UAE-Specific Regulations & Standards:
  • Ensure compliance with UAE construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in quantity surveying within the UAE construction industry (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, procurement, contract management, and financial reporting in the construction sector.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth understanding of UAE construction industry standards, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with tendering and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
