The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Al Ain, UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of quantity surveying principles, project management, and cost control processes. This role involves overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying for various construction projects, ensuring that financial and contractual obligations are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities: - Manage the full lifecycle of quantity surveying activities from pre-construction to project completion. - Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements. - Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities. - Monitor project costs and financial performance, providing regular reports to stakeholders. - Review and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions. - Coordinate with project teams to ensure all procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective. - Conduct valuations of work completed and prepare interim payment applications. - Resolve disputes and claims related to contract and project costs in a timely manner. - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors and support their professional development.



Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 20 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE. - Professional membership with a recognized quantity surveying institution (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is preferred. - Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project management principles. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. - Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar. - Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. - Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
