Job Description

: Lead and supervise inspection of materials & equipment and participate in the suppliers\' assessment for quality and HSE assurance. Ensure the disposal of surplus and redundant assets and materials in line with approved policies and procedures.

Client complexity has increased through addition of new facilities, expansion of its current plants and integration with offshore gas and Dolphin Energy with high priority given to continuously improve & sustain Asset Integrity of aging plants and Process & Occupational Safety. Client values Corporate Social Responsibilities and plays an important role in shaping the emerging socio-cultural developments by promoting and sponsoring major events in UAE and especially in Abu Dhabi.
The role of the Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist is to specify quality assurance and quality control requirement for the stock materials and equipment, consisting of various types of mechanical, electrical and instrument items including chemicals. Conduct I witness inspection within UAE and co-ordinate with Third Party agencies to arrange inspection overseas. He participates in the technical assessment of suppliers required for qualification. This requires technical knowledge and good communication skills to maintain regular contact with user Divisions as well as with the third party inspection agencies.Supervision Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the
~ job and deliver the respective section objectives
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section in line with the Company Performance framework
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for client Management
Specific Accountabilities
Review stock purchase requisitions in order to specify the inspection requirements and to ensure that quality control provisions are adequate. To ensure that receiving personnel are kept fully informed of inspection requirements and procedures.
Issue inspection authorizations (orders) to inspection agencies and to monitor status of related inspection activities, based on progress reports received.
Coordinate the work of third party inspection agencies through continuous follow-up and reporting of their inspection activities. To initiate, where necessary, procedures for the use of third party inspection agencies and provides basic data to them.
Review and comment on inspection reports and/or certificates submitted by third party agencies, or vendors. To prepare detailed inspection reports on quality and discrepancies and to assist in resolving discrepancies in coordination with end users.
Participate in the evaluation of supplier capabilities regarding the Quality Management System, Quality Assurance and HSE aspects through on-line e-Registration & Pre-qualification.
Follow up and obtain ADNOC / Shareholders approval for Assets / Materials Write-off as per the
Delegation of Authority.
Forward all approved materials I equipments written-off to Contracts Department for further disposal action.
Explore for alternative chemicals and carry out technical and economic comparative analysis in coordination with end users and inventory control.
