Context:The Senior QA/QC is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures in a metro rail project, specifically focusing on civil and system design contracts. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and international standards. The QA/QC Manager will be working closely with design, construction, and client representatives to maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle Missions/Main Duties:
Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Lead and manage the QA/QC team, assigning responsibilities and monitoring performance.
Ensure all civil and system design activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
Review and approve quality documentation, including material submittals, method statements, and test reports.
Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, ensuring proper documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Monitor and analyze quality-related data to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for project personnel on quality-related matters.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to address quality concerns and ensure alignment with project goals.
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of QA/QC records for audits and handover processes.
Profile/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in QA/QC roles, with at least 10 years in a managerial capacity.
Proven experience in metro rail, railway, or large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on civil and system design contracts.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, FIDIC contracts, and international quality standards
Certifications such as Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) or Six Sigma are an advantage
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
