Join us.The Senior Quantity Surveyor is charged with the responsibility of correlating information relating to all financial aspects of an assigned project. He / she should be aware of all financial matters and maintaining of quantity books and shall advise the Project Manager regarding all financial matters.He / she will have a thorough knowledge of the procedures and instructions and efficiently keep current all project records related to quantity surveying.Duties\xc2\xb7 Assist Directors in leading and delivery of all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion.\xc2\xb7 Achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the company.\xc2\xb7 To maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry.\xc2\xb7 Produces cost estimates at concept, scheme and detailed design stage, and is able to manage and oversee the production of a detailed BOQ for tender.\xc2\xb7 Manage the tender process, review and analyse tender returns and prepare a recommendation to the client.\xc2\xb7 Input into value and risk management workshops as required by the client.\xc2\xb7 As primary project cost controller, ensures that the project remains on budget through the design and construction phases.\xc2\xb7 Assesses and values progress payments and change requests.\xc2\xb7 Reviews and compares scopes of work, production rates, and cost data.\xc2\xb7 Preparation of earned value reports.\xc2\xb7 Prepares, reviews, and updates cash-flows.\xc2\xb7 Estimates variation orders for Subcontractors/GC Contractors.\xc2\xb7 Reviews and evaluates payment certificates for Subcontractors/GC Contractor.\xc2\xb7 Evaluates and negotiates variations and change orders in liaison with the Contract Administrator, Commercial Manager, Design and Construction Team.\xc2\xb7 Evaluates and negotiates final accounts settlements.Qualification\xc2\xb7 Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying\xc2\xb7 Accredited MRICS member (or working towards membership)ExperienceA minimum of 12+ years experience is required in the Quantity Surveying field, ideally applicants would have spent a significant time working on large scale Building projects within Asia and/or the Middle East, with a focus on residential, hospitality, mixed use developments and retail.Additional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is the worlds trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle - from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
