Title:Senior Project Manager

LOCATION Abu Dhabi, UAE

THE ROLE Reports to the Operations Manager for ensuring delivery of a portfolio of projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Single point of ownership and management for the delivery of a portfolio of projects, from concept design to asset handover, as part of the programme management consultant's role on a major programme of infrastructure development works. ·Development, establishment and execution of the Operations strategy, standards, policies, procedures and best practices. Support the Site Operations Team to ensure that the project goals and schedule are clearly understood and delivered. Day to day management of assigned individual project Design Managers and Project Managers depending on the phase of each project. Interface with all disciplines of the programme management consultant team to meet the overall programme deliverables, including HSE, QA, engineering, project controls and commercial to ensure consistent reporting across their portfolio, to a level that allows timely decisions to be made. Interface with all relevant Government Departments and Agencies, Design and Supervision Consultants and Construction Contractors to meet the individual project and the overall programme deliverables. ·Liaise strongly with the Engineering Team to assist in the development of design solutions that promote constructability and value engineering. ·Manage delivery of all project construction, coordinating on all logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities to ensure delivery of the Project to technical, budget, schedule and quality requirements established for the Project. Review the performance of the Design and Supervision Consultants and the Construction Contractors within their portfolio, monitoring KPI's, including on QHS&E requirements and take appropriate action where improvements are required. Ensure the required support is provided to facilitate the timely payment of invoices and resolution of variations and claims. Provide the interface between projects in and ensure that lessons learnt are applied across all projects. Required to be deployed full time to site, integrated with the Client project site office.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

·Sound knowledge of all operational aspects of major civil & infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities with experience in project management, construction management and practice and the delivery of complex major projects Experience and skills of managing teams of 25 to 30 persons 20 years post graduate experience Experienced user of MS Office BSc in related subject or equivalent experience MICE or equivalent Fluency in English language both written and spoken
