### Your role and responsibilities


Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals, providing performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects Taking accountability for a portfolio of projects, ensuring that the portfolio is managed consistently, based on best practices and ABB Policies, providing leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification, taking ownership in overlooking and supporting in improving guidelines, tools and templates Ensuring compliance to relevant cyber security regulations, standards and contractual requirements, supporting local sales and tendering through early involvement in tenders, taking appropriate actions for successful future execution of the projects, ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies Effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization, monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow, identifying, qualifying, quantifying and managing project risks and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued Capturing, analyzing and sharing lessons learned throughout the project, driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer, all in accordance with the contract Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements, ensuring that required procurement activities for services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers are performed by the assigned resources Closely interacting and collaborating with respective functions, supporting Procurement and Logistics in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes, acting as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicating with all stakeholders, ensuring the project follows and complying with company health, safety and environmental policies, creating project HSE plans and ensuring that common HSE policies and reporting are implemented across the project with all stakeholders, including collaboration/consortium partners and sub-suppliers Leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, delivery of contracted deliverables and meeting the committed project result, driving any required project recovery efforts and turnaround of troubled projects, providing support to less experienced Project Managers with the recovery of troubled projects by assessment of the situation and making specific recommendations based on experience Defining and applying advanced project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively to avoid possible future schedule deviations with OTD impact, applying earned value method managing critical path and project float optimizing the schedule, accurately forecasting schedule determining if the project is still within defined tolerance ranges and identifying any necessary change requests to drive closure Planning and tracking all project activities, establishing scheduling risks and opportunities in order to deliver projects on time according to commitments to the customer and ABB, continuously driving improvement in planning and/or scheduling techniques and collecting and sharing data and lessons learned from previous projects, demonstrating ability guiding and collaborating with a project planning and control specialist Identifying and planning all document deliverables required by the contractual scope of work and incorporating this plan into the overall project plan/schedule, tracking document progress and following up on overdue comments from customer. ### Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering
• Good understanding of Oil & Gas and UAE Project requirements
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role and experience in Project Management
• Knowledge of Power skid, Electrical and Automation Project delivery, experience with Onshore and Offshore Oil and Gas customer especially ADNOC and GCC customers
• Customer interpersonal skills, communication skills, problem solving
• Fluency in English language is mandatory.
