Overview:The Senior Project Controls Specialist is an experienced individual contributor with specialized knowledge and skills in Project Controls. The position will report directly to the District Project Controls Manager while in Dubai office. While on project assignment, the Senior Project Controls Specialist will report operationally to Project Manager and functionally to District Project Controls Manager.Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all Project Controls requirements on the project
Lead the Project Controls team
Develop Project Controls execution plan and take the lead in implementation
Responsible for cost forecasting, scheduling, progress monitoring, change management etc.
Develop WBS and CBS as required per the execution plan.
Develop and maintain a fully resource loaded integrated EPC schedule
Facilitate weekly/ monthly updates and critical path schedule analysis
Participate in planning sessions of the project with PMT
Establish and maintain progress measurement system aligned with the execution plan
Preparation of conformed estimates from the as-sold estimates developed by Estimating
Advises Project Management of forecast risks as soon as they are identified
Analyze cost and schedule data and recommend solutions or recovery plans as required.
Coordinate, participate and contribute in the risks and opportunities workshops
Routine interface with clients and participate in client meetings
Responsible for all project control deliverables to client as required by the contract
Collaboration with Finance/ Accounting on financial reporting
Responsible for all internal project control deliverables and regional reporting
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and adherence to internal controls and procedures.
Facilitate change management workshops
Other tasks as required including but not limited to training, general administration support etc
Local Requirements:
This is a project based role in Ruwais for an LNG project on a single status assignment.
This position will be initially based in Dubai office and will be relocated to project site based on business needs.
The role demands strong analytical, presentation and communication skills.
Qualifications:
Engineering Diploma / Degree or equivalent
7+ years of relevant EPC experience in the Oil & Gas / Energy / Petrochemical Industry
Theoretical and specialized working knowledge with Primavera (P6)
Equivalent years of experience with Cost Control, Scheduling and Forecasting
Advanced level in MS applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Intermediate to advanced level in MS applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Familiar with JDE or similar
