Wood is currently recruiting for a Digitalisation Lead \xe2\x80\x93 Middle East to ensure that Digital eco systems within the Middle East Region meet client and industry standards and are consistent with globally adopted procedures.
Overseas the management of information work product developed during the execution of business through its entire lifecycle from design to destruction.
Provides leadership and direction to document control, data management, project information management and engineering systems administration across the BU in region.
Provides thought leadership to the information management function, ensuring progressive and modern practices that embrace the digitisation transformation, use technology effectively and support the business strategy.
The role will report to the Head of Decarbonisation and Project Delivery \xe2\x80\x93 Middle East and be based in Abu Dhabi.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for participating in the creation, maintenance and enforcement of global IM strategy, standards and procedures and assures compliance
Responsible for ensuring technical competence standards and for monitoring competence levels, and for overall management and development of Information Management (Document Control, Data Management & Record Management) talent pool
Responsible for establishing the functional requirements for Information Management Systems and Tools and working with IT and software vendors to ensure they are met in region
Works within the Business Unit Project Delivery organization to ensure IM procedures are consistent with the overall execution strategies of each group
Facilitates collaboration between Delivery Excellence groups in areas of Information Management and Digital ecosystems
Participate in the leadership of the community of practice for Information Management and Digital Transformation, facilitating collaboration and liaising with other BU Heads of Information Management and various Digital initiatives
Oversees the implementation of Information Management Systems and Tools in the Business Unit Middle East offices
Responsible for the development and implementation of workshare strategies within Information Management
Define, shape, drive and execute strategic plans in partnership with the business leadership and the strategy and development function, supporting of short and long-term business needs aligned to accelerated growth aspirations
Takes strategic direction from BU leadership, has significant latitude to shape information management strategy and plans within region
Skills / Qualifications
Qualication
Degree qualified or equivalent
Job specific experience
Significant experience and competence in operationally focused senior management roles within a complex international organisation
Deep understanding and knowledge of relevant markets
Ability to provide leadership to multiple disciplines across a complex organisation
Proven ability to establish strong and appropriate relationships with the regional leadership team, joint venture partners, customers, staff and all stakeholders
Proven record of implementing and embedding a safety culture
Demonstrated experience in integrating and coordinating diverse areas of management.
Ability to influence, enable, and drive company performance and culture through excellent communication
Demonstrable commercial acumen and credibility
Knowledge of
Cutting edge digital transformation trends, new to market and in development, and to be released possibilities
Recent Knowledge of the growth and advancement of Digital Transition within industry.
Current and nascent technologies related to the IM and digital sectors
General familiarity with related industry standards & initiatives e.g., CFIHOS, BIM ISO19650 etc.

Identify and assess principal execution risks for projects in the digitalisation space and ensures that these are being monitored and managed
Ensures that the digital transition maintains high ethical standards and social responsibility wherever it does business
