The Partnership between SPL, SAFF, and IMG:

The Saudi Pro League (SPL) and Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) have announced a new five-year production partnership with IMG, a global sports, events, and representation company, for the Roshn Saudi League (RSL), King's Cup, and Saudi Super Cup, starting from the 2024-25 season.

The 2024-25 season broadcast of the RSL, King's Cup, and Saudi Super Cup will feature more dynamic storytelling and captivating content that highlights the excitement of the matches and celebrates the rich culture and passion that drive the sport.

IMG will also help SPL and SAFF to implement advanced remote production technologies, allowing leading producers to oversee matches across multiple cities on the same day, ensuring that the highest production standards are maintained regardless of location.

IMG are seeking a dynamic Senior Producer to join our Studios business and lead our new partnership with the Saudi Pro League based in Riyadh. This is a senior role supporting the Executive Producer in the day to day running of the production of IMG's host broadcaster requirements including live match production, outside broadcasts, world feed programmes and additional content including a weekly highlights/magazine show and match round features. This role requires a blend of leadership, flexibility, creativity, and regional/industry knowledge.

As a global leader in sports, events, media, and fashion, IMG operates in over 30 countries, and this role is pivotal in leading the transformation of our creative output.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a long-term fixed-term contract dependent on local employment regulations based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will be required to work weekends and unsocial hours when needed. You will also be required to travel within KSA, across the various match locations/stadiums

This position will include a relocation package.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

To co-ordinate OB/content planning with Executive Producer (KSA), Senior Producer (UK), Production Manager and SPL working to the SPL Content and Marketing strategy.

To oversee the production and editorial of live on-site match OB host broadcaster coverage ensuring output is delivered on-time and on budget.

To support relationships with OB provider and other suppliers working alongside IMG appointed Technical Lead and Production Executive.

To support the UK production and development of World feed Programming and associated content including highlights programmes and "openers" in partnership with the Senior Producer (UK) and the SPL.

Responsible for adhering to compliance guidelines for broadcasters/clients as appropriate.

To support the Executive Producer in all client matters and stand in as required.

Manage and empower supporting team of Producers and Assistant Producers based both in Saudi Arabia and the UK

Forward planning, ideas generation and the ability to think creatively and inspire and coach teams to do the same.

To help identify and develop new talent both on and off screen, ensuring regular feedback and development - with a key remit to develop the next generation of KSA Production Talent.

Proven history of managing team performance, with the ability to offer training solutions.

Work closely with Production Management on the commercial, corporate and client deliverables.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:

Previous experience as a Senior Producer / Producer within a major sports television production team

An extensive portfolio of work covering a variety of sports production including football.

An understanding of all the operational and logistical requirements of live television studio and live OB on-site programming.

Experience of dealing with Onscreen Talent (e.g. Presenters, Commentators, Sports Personalities)

We'd Love If You Also Have These:

Experience of Outside Broadcast Production.

Fluency in Arabic is highly advantageous, but not essential

Experience of managing key client relationships at a senior level.

Experience of working in the region.

Ability to deliver against challenging deadlines.

Strong market knowledge.

Sound commercial skills with an ability to match editorial and commercial objectives.

Understanding of platform technologies.

Facilitate and deliver change management.

An in-depth knowledge of production market trends, both in sport and non-sport.
