Role: Senior Procurement Specialist
Location: Abu Dhabi
Duration: 6 months ( possible extension )The Procurement Senior Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process.
Qualification and skills: The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in science, engineering, or management;
  • SAP E-Procurement hands-on experience is desirable.
  • Procurement and supply-chain-related Certifications preferred (CIPS, ISM, etc)
  • Strong understanding of contractual approach to procurement, procurement terminology, and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex terms clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate contractual risks.
Industry Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in tendering, and bidding.
Key Responsibilities: The duties include sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate should possess prior expertise in reviewing/analyzing the scope of requirements, creating a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and pricing schedule, drafting tender documents, issuing expressions of interest (EOI), requesting proposals or tenders (RFP/RFT), conducting technical and commercial evaluations, negotiating contracts, making award recommendations, preparing agreement documents, managing post-contract administration, and being well-versed in terms and conditions. Additionally, below is a brief overview of the key responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Negotiation:
  • Identify potential suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery speed.
  • Procurement Process Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting:
  • Monitor and control procurement budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze procurement data and trends.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments such as Customers, End-Users, finance, operations, and legal.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay updated on procurement regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
