To design and test primary composite aircraft structures related to AS.
To design and test primary metallic aircraft structures related to AS.
To design and test secondary/auxiliary aircraft structures and airframe wiring applications/routings (like dashboards, brackets, fairings, lids, doors, pylons, etc.).
To design and test aircraft mechanisms (like MLG, NLG, Aileron mechanisms, swash plates, etc.).
To develop aircraft systems related to mechanical disciplines (like drivetrains, hydraulic, icing, braking systems, fuel system, etc.).
To develop specialized support equipment (like, ground system antenna masts, vehicles, fixtures and jigs etc.).
To perform mechanical design for electronic equipment that meet stringent performance and environmental requirements (i.e. mass, volume, thermal, vibration, EMI etc.) and develop test plans and procedures to verify designs.
To perform basic thermal, structural, dynamic and fluid flow analysis to support the development of electronics equipment.
To perform testing and data collection in laboratory and field environments.
To perform trade-off study in terms of performance, cost, and weight restrictions.
To participate aerodynamic loads tests.
To perform exterior component designs related to AS.
To support the efforts defining exterior component locations related to AS.
Manage small size development projects outsourced to sub-contractors (development of a single component or equipment).
Execute team lead or specialist assignments effectively in accordance with the given schedule, milestone and available resources
Maintain DMU and configurations.
Maintain CAD library and configuration.
Coordinate team access to DMU and library
To follow the V model for product development and follow the ARP4754 or equivalent for system engineering guideline.
To follow the MIL-STD 961D standard for developing subsystem technical specification.
To support and contribute to program milestones and major reviews (such as various SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR etc.).
To comply with established ADASI, quality assurance and configuration management guidelines and processes.
To comply with company statutory requirements, rules and safety requirements.
To mentor junior engineers and oversee their activities as they relate to the above job responsibilities and follow ADASI CBT internal processes.
Education & Experience:
Minimum 8 years of work experience.
BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Business acumen.
Document/report drafting skills.
Working Knowledge of Catia V5 solids & GSD (Surface Design).
Solid knowledge materials science.
Solid knowledge of mechanical design.
Solid knowledge about fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
Solid knowledge of measurement techniques and calibration.
Significant working experience with ground testing and test instrumentation techniques.
Working knowledge with the ARP4754 and DO-254 guideline and MIL-STD 961D standard.
