Avionics System Design: Lead the design and development of avionics systems, including flight control systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and mission systems, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements Analysis: Analyze and interpret customer requirements, system specifications, and regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) to define avionics system architectures, interfaces, and functional requirements.
System Integration: Oversee the integration of avionics systems with aircraft platforms, subsystems, and mission equipment, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and performance in accordance with project objectives and timelines.
Hardware and Software Development: Lead the development of avionics hardware and software components, including embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, displays, and communication interfaces, using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
Safety and Reliability: Ensure the safety, reliability, and integrity of avionics systems by conducting risk assessments, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and reliability predictions, and implementing mitigation measures and fault-tolerant designs.
Verification and Validation: Develop and execute verification and validation plans and procedures for avionics systems, including testing, simulation, and analysis activities, to verify compliance with requirements and performance specifications.
Certification Support: Provide technical support for avionics system certification activities, including documentation preparation, compliance demonstration, and coordination with certification authorities and regulatory bodies.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams, including avionics engineers, software engineers, hardware engineers, and systems engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including flight test engineers, project managers, suppliers, and customers, to coordinate avionics integration efforts, resolve technical issues, and communicate project status and milestones
Education & Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (Master\'s degree or Ph.D. preferred.)
Minimum of 8 years\' experience in avionics engineering, with a focus on avionics system design, development, integration, and certification.
In-depth knowledge of avionics systems, components, interfaces, and architectures, including flight control systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and sensor technologies.
Experience with avionics hardware and software development tools and languages, such as VHDL, Verilog, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and DO-178C/DO-254 standards.
