We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer with 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in petrochemical and polyethylene projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning, scheduling, and control, with a proven track record of success in managing complex projects. This is an office-based role within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for petrochemical and polyethylene projects.
Lead the planning and scheduling activities for multiple projects, ensuring that timelines, costs, and resources are effectively managed.
Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and delays, and implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Provide regular progress reports to management, highlighting key milestones and potential issues.
Manage project change control processes and ensure timely updates to project plans.
Review and approve contractor schedules and ensure alignment with overall project goals.
Work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure effective project execution.
Requirements:
15+ years of experience in planning engineering roles within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on petrochemical and polyethylene projects.
Strong experience in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) role.
Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
Excellent knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and reporting methodologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all project stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.
