About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineer to support the execution and coordination of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will resolve technical issues, ensure design alignment, and oversee the implementation of civil, MEP, and architectural works while addressing challenges such as the absence of project specifications, BOQs, and material lists. This role is critical to ensuring smooth project delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support

• Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and material submittals.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and material lists where missing.
• Resolve design clashes and discrepancies between civil, MEP, and architectural works.
• Provide technical advice to site teams and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to address technical queries.

Project Coordination

• Facilitate the integration of civil and MEP systems with architectural designs.
• Expedite authority submissions, including NOCs, and ensure timely approvals.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure that work complies with approved designs and quality standards.
• Oversee the preparation of as-built drawings and ensure accuracy.

Quality Assurance

• Identify and address construction deficiencies promptly to minimize rework.
• Monitor material usage to prevent wastage and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Prepare and implement inspection plans to ensure quality standards are met.

Cost Control & Planning

• Collaborate with planning and cost teams to ensure that technical resolutions align with project budgets and timelines.
• Provide technical input for value engineering to optimize cost and design.
• Assess the impact of design changes or delays on project schedules and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Engineer in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects, including civil, MEP, and architectural works.
• Familiarity with preparing and reviewing BOQs and material lists.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
