ROLE SUMMARY:

The Senior Pediatric Physical Therapist is responsible for providing specialized care to children with moderate to complex needs, including genetic, developmental, and neuromuscular disorders. This role involves performing detailed evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and applying advanced therapeutic techniques to improve mobility, strength, and overall function. Expertise in gait training and familiarity with the latest pediatric therapy equipment are essential for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments, including diagnostic tests and skilled procedures, for children with developmental, congenital, or neuromuscular conditions, as well as those recovering from injury.
• Treatment planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address delayed motor development, balance, coordination, strength, endurance, sensory integration, and mobility, with a focus on functional independence.
• Therapeutic interventions:
• Use evidence-based techniques while adopting a play-based approach. He is also expected to incorporate movement exercises and specialized equipment, as needed, to help children improve their physical abilities.
• Provide hands-on therapy through individualized sessions and joint sessions with other disciplines, as appropriate, adapting activities to engage and motivate children.
• Family education: Educate parents and caregivers on the child's condition and a home program to ensure consistency in the child's care.
• Monitoring progress: Monitor and document progress, revising care plans, as needed, to reflect the child's evolving needs and therapeutic goals.
• Service development:
• Contribute to the development and execution of quality improvement initiatives to enhance therapy outcomes and clinic standards.
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric physical therapy techniques, tools, and equipment through continuous professional development.

7. Collaboration: Work with paediatricians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, ABA therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification in NDT/BOBATH required.
• Pediatric Clinical Specialist (PCS) certification preferred.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or Masters with a focus on pediatric care is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Pediatric Physical Therapist, with demonstrated expertise in managing moderate to complex cases, including gait training.
• In-depth knowledge of physical therapy regulations, standards, and best practices in pediatric care.
• Patience, empathy, and effective communication with children and families

TOOLS & SOFTWARE:

Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and therapy-related software is preferred.

Skilled in using cutting-edge pediatric therapy equipment, especially those related to gait training and neuromuscular rehabilitation.

PATIENT POPULATION:

This role focuses on treating children and adolescents aged 1 to 18 with mild to complex developmental, neuromuscular, or genetic disorders. Expertise in providing rehabilitative care for infants (30 days to 1 year) and children and adolescents (1-18 years) is essential.

CONTINUING EDUCATION:

The center supports ongoing professional development and encourages maintaining relevant certifications such as NDT/BOBATH. Funding for continuing education is provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED24,000.00 - AED26,000.00 per month
