Our client is a leader in the hospitality sector in the GCC dealing in top leisure, entertainment and tourist destinations. They partner with world class brands and are looking for a Senior Pastry Chef to join their well established and respected team.
This position oversees all aspects of the Pastry Kitchen/Bakery/Bakery Shop/Ice Cream Shop and is responsible for production and distribution of baked goods, desserts, pastries, gelato etc. This position is also responsible for maintaining a Safe work Environment, training of direct reports and the development of new products in line with business requirements and as requested by the Senior Executive Chef.

Contributes to achieve department and Company objectives, action plans and key performance indicators
Enforces and adheres to all UAE laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, industry and company rules and regulations, reporting any safety concerns or incidents to management to minimize risk and maintain a clean safe and hygienic environment for all Guests and Colleagues
Available and on duty during peak periods (frequently opening and closing the operation) and regularly working in the Outlet kitchens with the respective Sous Chefs
Frequently testing bakery and pastry products in all the facilities and be demanding and critical when it comes to standards
Collaborates with the Outlet Managers and respective Outlet Chefs to take corrective action where necessary
Ensures correct handling, basic maintenance of machinery and tools in the Pastry and Bakery across all facilities
Ensures orderly handling of all products and checks that quantities prepared are according to recipes and plate specifications
Monitors and analyzes the activities and trends of competitive Restaurants, Theme Parks, and Food Beverage establishments
Requirements
Diploma or Culinary qualification
Minimum 3 years in same role or 3+ years as Pastry Sous Chef in a 4 or 5* hotel
Ability to work in a fast-moving work environment and communicate effectively across a multi-national, multi-cultural environment
Ability to deliver results within a pressurized deadline driven environment
Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Language skills, fluency in Arabic and English is preferred but not essential
