- Technical AssuranceTechnical Integrity: Verifying & achieving technical Integrity of respective project deliverable(s) in compliance with:
- Legislation and Regulatory Commitments
- Codes and Standards
- Certification
- Basis of Design
- Monitor and check the EPC Contractor\'s technical deliverables in order to obtain the required Quality, with in time and budget
- Actively participate in the Contractor\'s HSE process of hazard identification, including risk analysis and mitigation.
- Operation support for review discipline specific engineering documents and verify CONTRACTOR\'s resolution of all comments in terms of operation perspective.
- Support IPMT in the execution of the works
- Ensure that all tasks assigned by the Commissioning Manager are completed on time and within budget
- Attend internal / external Project reviews and other meetings, as necessary
- Keep up to date with and adhere to Company and Project related procedures
- Attend internal progress and engineering meetings as required with the Contractors.
- Participate in continuous risk analysis of the engineering works.
- Technical/Design Reviews: Participate and provide all operation inputs in all planned design reviews, Hazops, 3D Modal etc.,
- Ensure CONTRACTOR compliance to operation requirement as per Project design basis, specifications, design requirements & industry best practices to ensure all operation mandatory requirement in terms of operability and reliability are met as part of Borouge projects. Ensure during the design stage that reviews are carried out with start-up, shutdown, emergency and other operating procedure in mind, SOP\'s for units according to practical experiences implemented with a view to ensure high operation reliability and safety levels.
- Monitors CONTRACTOR\'s overall compliance & engineering quality, provides necessary feedback for observations, deviations & areas of improvements (Preventive/Corrective actions) in the Project Quality system
- Monitor EPC engineering performance against the agreement, including baselines and milestones, identify negative trends and items of concern and propose corrective actions and concerns to Commissioning Manager
- Establish and monitor a systematic approach to risk management and project changes and Keep Commissioning Manager informed accordingly.
- Plan and prepare for the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as part of the system and subsystem.
- Collaborates with Maintenance personnel to ensure all regular planned, statutory and unplanned/emergency maintenance is possible to be carried out in the most efficient and safe manner and this strategy is implemented in the design phase of the Project"
- Ensure the project reviews are done in terms of performance test run requirements perspective after start up in a smooth and seamless way to avoid any surprise of operation requirement during the final performance of the system.
- Provide the required operation support for the start-up team during the Precommissioning, Commissioning and ready for startup phase of the project in site office.
- Participate and exchange technical knowledge of all process and give the required training to Start up team and operation team for the safe start up.
- Ensure all operation documentation (Process Design Basis, Process Description, PFD, P&ID, Int & Seq descriptions, Control descriptions, Alarm/trip, ESD/EBDS, operation manual, Equipment list/ Mechanical datasheet, Hazop/SIL, HSEIA, ERP, Training Material, DCS Schematics, Operation and maintenance manual from vendor IOM, Instrument Datasheets, SOP, LO/LC, Vent/Drain list etc.) for the RFSU requirement is available in a timely manner.Performance
- Competency: Deliver the discipline scope in the quality & efficiency expected form the role competencies, experience & technical skills.
- Productivity: Maintain the Operation engineering documents review plan (Productivity of
or= 1)
- Performance assessment: The two above parameters in addition to a set of individual KPI\'s will be assessed on regular frequency (mid-term review & final term review) the outcome shall be fed back to the individuals, clearly identifying areas of improvement (as applicable)Operation/Engineering Change Management
- Review of discipline specific Concession requests issued within the CONTRACT, validate the basis of the request & its impact on technical integrity & justification, prior to requesting endorsement from Technical authority.
- Monitoring & ensuring that discipline specific design change management is being carried out for all respective engineering changes with proper multidiscipline impact assessment & the same is registered & controlled (as & when required).General
- Maintain regular meetings with discipline counterpart for timely discipline activity coordination & problems resolution as applicable.
- Communicate discipline specific updates/areas of concern on regular basis to the package engineering manager & to other disciplines within the package.
- Maintaining time records & timely submission of time sheets for approval
- Timely input into engineering leave planner & subsequent submittal of leave (after aligning a handover & a deputy during the leave period).
- Address technical conflicts & disputes with Counterpart (CONTRACTOR) in a professional & systematic manner, relevant to governing specifications/codes & actual situation.Generic AccountabilitiesPolicies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of PracticesMIS and Reports
- Provide input to reports and statements, including technical and management reports, related to the project from an engineering perspective to meet Project requirements, policies and standards.Borouge Corporate Responsibilities
