Job Overview:
Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations
• Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures
• Manage own time to meet agreed deadlines and budgets and develop plans for short-term work activities in own area
• Focus on completing work within budgets
• Takes the delegated lead over the discipline project team when necessary
• Clearly communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding
• Applies all relevant procedures, practices and International standards according his discipline (Static, Rotating, Package/special equipment), and applicable as per Projects requirements
• Ensure all relevantMcDermott procedures, practices and quality standards be implemented
• Perform mechanical calculations related to the respective discipline (pressure vessels preliminary calculations, rotating equipment pre dimensioning, power consumption determination, etc.)
• Perform Mechanical data sheets and equipment specifications in accordance with process and project requirements
Essential Qualifications and Education:
• 10-15 yrs in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design
• 5 years offshore projects experience
• Rotating and package engineering experience is essential
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Master Degrees Preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of many design techniques and analysis methods, and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards codes and guidelines as applicable
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
• Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society
• Good English in writing / speaking (B2 Level minimum)
• Quality oriented and schedule conscious
• Serves as a technical reference and/or source of reliable information for the discipline
• Leadership skills and willingness to coordinate some discipline tasks
• Make recommendations to improve work process
Give support to construction, when necessary, from office or at site
