Primary objective The Engineer shall have the ability to produce piping material specifications for a project, in accordance with Industry Design Codes. The Engineer shall have adequate experience to adopt a practical approach to piping material problems and be familiar with the requirements/interactions of other engineering disciplines. Specific Accountabilities Coordination and implementation of Piping material and engineering activities. Maintaining design integrity and quality within the business unit/project team. Appraisal, training, and development of personnel. Promoting health, safety, and environmental awareness. Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU's. Safety - Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&S procedures. Essential Skills/Experience Capable of producing specifications for Piping materials, Valves and Special Piping items. Knowledge of Industry Piping Design codes, Pipe Fitting codes and Valve codes. Experience in piping engineering including pipe wall thickness calculations, branch connection reinforcement calculations to Piping Design codes. Experience in technical evaluations of Piping Vendor quotations. Capable of giving technical recommendation of piping materials, valve, and special piping item suppliers. Experience in producing Piping Standard Details for the Piping Layout group. Substantial experience in the Oil & Gas industry and/or Petrochemical Industry. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrated performance as a team leader is preferred. Dynamic and enthusiastic approach is essential.

Qualifications:

Experience in Piping Materials and Piping Engineering. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
