Job Description
Senior material and corrosion engineerResponsibilitiesNot Limited to the below:1- Prepares and issues material selection guides for medium size projects and participates in the issuance of material selection guides for major projects2- Designs, specifies, reviews and evaluates suppliers documents of cathodic protection systems.3- Designs, specifies and reviews corrosion control techniques such as paintings /coatings and corrosion inhibitors.4- Reviews and approves Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) / Procedure Qualifications Record (PQR) and welding repair procedures for defected castings.5- Reviews and approves suitability of material of construction proposed by bidders and providing comments as appropriate to requisitions originators to include in the evaluation questionnaires sent to bidders.6- Assists in the preparation and issuance of material requisitions (MRQ & MRP) for laboratory equipment and furniture.Requirements:Minimum 8 years of job relevant experience including experience in material engineering in the field of oil and gas.B.Sc. in mechanical engineering / metallurgy engineering/ chemical engineeringLocation: DubaiTagged as:
